Objective

To achieve above average income from equity investment, with the aim of growing the dividend at least in line with the Retail Price Index while also achieving capital growth.

Profile

The Standard Life Equity Income Trust plc will invest mainly in UK equities and may also hold a proportion in fixed interest stocks to supplement income, or to provide stability when the outlook for the UK equity market is less optimistic. Typical holdings will be 50 - 70 stocks with a minimum initial position of 1%.

Karen Robertson

Karen graduated in Economics from the University of Strathclyde in 1990, and joined Standard Life as a UK Investment Analyst in the same year. She qualified as an Associate of the Institute of Investment Management and Research in 1993 and was appointed Senior Investment Analyst in 1994.

Karen began managing our UK Equity High Income Fund in 1995, and has managed our UK Equity Growth Fund since May 2004.
