About our team

The Multi-Asset Investing Team that looks after our absolute return funds is more than 20 strong. It offers expertise in a wide range of disciplines, including economics, quantitative analysis, actuarial insight, risk management and fund management. Team members have an average of 16 years’ investment experience, ten of which at Standard Life Investments.

There are three core areas of expertise in the team:

  • Managing multi-asset portfolios – those investing in more than one type of investment
  • Strategic research and idea generation
  • Managing risk

GARS is not the product of just one mind. Instead it draws on the expertise of all the 300-plus investment professionals across Standard Life Investments. This includes the equity, fixed-income, real estate and money-market teams.
