SLI Team Shines At All Star Awards

The performance of leading fund manager Standard Life Investments was today recognised when its UK Equities team picked up two awards in the Citywire Team All Stars Awards 2007.

SLI’s UK Equities Team was named:

• Citywire Team All Stars Asset Group Winner - UK Equities
• Citywire Team All Stars Sector Winner - UK All Companies

Commenting on the company’s latest awards Jacqueline Kerr, Head of Mutual Fund Investments at Standard Life Investments, said:

"The fact that managers needed at least 30 months of relevant performance to contribute to their group’s score shows the importance of establishing a strong and robust performance track record, something the UK Equities team at SLI has demonstrated over a number of years now.

"I am particularly pleased that these awards recognise the importance of ‘team units’ as this approach is fundamental to everything we do at SLI. It is only by pooling the knowledge, skills and resources of our people and aligning that with a robust and repeatable process that we are able to generate the award winning levels of performance that our clients have come to expect."

Citywire ranked each team unit by its sector manager ratio. A team unit represented a combination of managers at the group and were weighted on the basis of their quartile performance.

Within the UK All Companies Sector, all of SLI’s funds have returned top quartile performance over 1, 2, 3 and 5 years (or from launch if in existence for less). Source: Morningstar, bid to bid over all periods to 1 July 2007.

• UK Equity Growth Fund
• UK Ethical Fund
• UK Opportunities Fund
• Growth & Income Fund
• UK Equity Unconstrained Fund

For the Asset Group winner award, in addition to the above funds, contribution to the award included performance from the highly acclaimed UK Equity High Income Fund and AAA rated Harry Nimmo’s UK Smaller Companies Fund, which has returned top decile performance over 1, 2 and 3 years and is top quartile over the past 10 years.
