Standard Life Investments lifts Multi-Asset Manager of the year award

Standard Life Investments, a leading investment house, today announced that it has won the ‘Multi-Asset Manager of the Year’ Award at the UK Pensions Awards 2008 held in London last night (Tuesday 22nd April).

Drawn from a shortlist of candidates*, SLI was selected by a panel of industry experts** based on innovation, communication, performance and service standards.

Standard Life Investments was also short-listed in the ‘Investment Manager of the Year’, ‘Property Manager of the Year’, ‘Pooled Manager of the Year’ and ‘Fixed Interest Manager of the Year’ and categories.

Louise Kay, Head of UK Institutional Business Development, Standard Life Investments, said:

“In 2007, Standard Life Investments increased its growing reputation as a multi-asset provider. Our Global Absolute Return Strategies Fund (GARS) – a pooled fund that offers the potential for growth regardless of individual market conditions – has provided clients with excellent performance despite extensive market volatility. This was because we employed innovative investment strategies designed to deliver returns while also effectively managing risk.

“The success of our GARS Fund, coupled with an increased fund choice for LDI investors, means that we continue to move towards our target of being the multi-asset provider of choice within the UK investment community.”
