Andrew Sutherland
Since joining Standard Life in 1980, Andrew has gained considerable experience in managing fixed interest funds. His areas of responsibility have included managing Standard Life's segregated pensions fixed interest portfolios, Irish fixed interest portfolios and the Gilt and Fixed Interest Unit Trust.

David Ennett
David joined Standard Life Investments in 2010 and is fund manager for the Higher Income Bond Fund and the European High Yield Fund. In addition he has responsibility for the high yield allocation in our Strategic Bond Fund. His previous roles include High Yield Credit Analyst, Deputy Fund Manager and Fund Manager with Old Mutual Asset Managers, where he was responsible for all aspects of portfolio construction, stock research and selection. David graduated from Australian National University with a BA in Political Science and a Bachelor of Economics. David is a CFA Charterholder.
To achieve the potentially high yields, a proportion of the fund invests in bonds that pay higher rates of interest but this generally brings with it higher risk of payments due by these bonds not being made. Unlike a bank or building society your capital and income cannot be guaranteed.
