The Standard Life Ethical Committee

It’s the role of our Ethical Committee to make sure our ethical policy is followed across our range of ethical funds.

Three individual investors in our ethical funds plus four senior Standard Life managers sit on our Ethical Committee. Chaired by Standard Life's Group Operations Director, the Committee’s role is to oversee our ethical funds. It meets quarterly to make sure our policies and procedures are applied correctly, and accurately reflect your views.

Committee members review all investor correspondence, and work to keep informed on the ethical issues which are of concern to investors. They also monitor ethical issues through reports from our SRI team and presentations by organisations involved in issues of concern.

Taking your views on board

Our annual survey of ethical investor sentiment has a long history – it’s now in its 13th year. Asking you for your opinions in this way allows us to make sure the issues that matter to you remain at the forefront of our ethical investment strategies.
