Analytical rigour
Research is the key driver of our investment process and we believe it is more embedded in our process than that of our competitors. Over 20 years ago, we were one of the first institutions in Europe to establish a dedicated real estate research function and clients have been reaping the benefits since.
We now have a team, headed by Anne Breen, comprising four analysts who offer an exceptional breadth and depth of experience. They combine their specialist knowledge to give an overall view on the key market drivers and provide insights and recommendations on a sector basis to our real estate investment team. Furthermore, we take on the research recommendations of our global strategy, equity and fixed income teams to build an overall picture of the environment for real estate around the world.
Anne Breen
Head of Real Estate Research & Strategy
Anne manages the output of one of Europe’s leading real estate research teams at Standard Life Investments. The team’s activities include forecasting UK, European, Asian and North American real estate markets. Her team also provides strategic input for all of the 19 different real estate vehicles we manage including investment in listed and co-mingled real estate vehicles, as well as the tactical use of real estate derivatives.
Anne and her team provide input to our strategy team's industry-leading publications Global Outlook and Global Perspective. They also share their investment insights through regular research papers and market updates.
