Standard Life Investments

Five investment styles

With MyFolio, clients can choose from five different investment styles, providing both flexibility and choice.

MyFolio Market funds – there are five MyFolio Market funds, one for each risk level. Each of these funds invests in passive funds, also known as trackers, covering many different types of assets. These tracker funds generally aim to replicate the performance of an index, such as the FTSE All Share Index* or the S&P 500 Index** and will therefore follow their benchmark market down as well as up. This is the lowest cost MyFolio option as there is limited active management in the underlying funds.

MyFolio Managed funds – the five MyFolio Managed funds offer a competitively priced option as they invest mainly in funds managed by Standard Life Investments. We have considerable experience investing across the major asset classes and strategies such as equities, property, bonds and absolute returns.

MyFolio Managed Income funds – the MyFolio Managed Income funds offer a further dimension of choice, as they aim to provide an income-focused total return over the longer term. These five funds invest mainly in income-focused funds managed by Standard Life Investments.

MyFolio Multi-Manager funds – the five MyFolio Multi-Manager portfolios invest in carefully selected funds from some of the leading investment managers in the market. We carry out in-depth research to identify funds we believe to be among the best in the industry.

MyFolio Multi-Manager Income funds – investors can choose to invest in a further five multi-manager funds that have a bias towards generating income. These funds invest in carefully selected, income-focused funds from leading managers in the market.
